Service Description
Your night begins with pickup from your accommodation in the Saariselkä, Ivalo or Inari area. Before we arrive to pick you up, we have already studied the cloud forecasts across Northern Lapland, together with the latest space weather data, to plan where the best conditions for the evening are likely to be. Because the tour is exclusively for your group, the experience can be shaped around how you want to spend the night. Hike to the top of a fell for beautiful views, settle around a fire with hot drinks and something warm to eat, or stay warm and comfortable in the minibus while we chase clear skies and wait for the Northern Lights to appear. Throughout the night, we keep an eye on real-time cloud maps and changing conditions, adjusting our route whenever needed. Instead of following a predetermined route or schedule, we are free to change direction, drive further or stay longer when the conditions call for it. With no other guests to accommodate, there’s no need to rush or compromise on how you spend the night. Whether you want to focus on photography, spend more time outdoors exploring the Arctic night, or enjoy a relaxed evening around the fire, we’ll do our best to create the Northern Lights experience you came to Lapland for. What’s Included: - Pickup and drop-off from your accommodation in the Saariselkä, Ivalo or Inari area - Transportation in a private minibus - Hot drinks and snacks - Photos taken during the tour, uploaded and shared with you via a link Important Information: - As this is a private tour, the start time can be adjusted by prior agreement. However, the tour finishes around 1:00 AM at the latest. - This tour is not suitable for children who require a child car seat. - Please dress warmly for Arctic winter conditions, as winter clothing is not provided. - You’re welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks if you prefer. - The Northern Lights are never guaranteed, but our effort is. We come prepared and use the full flexibility of a private tour to give you the best possible chance of seeing them.
